Mountain West
New Mexico 26-4 (13-2) #2 RPI. I bet they wish they had that SDSU Jackrabbits game back eh? So basically all we have to go on is a win over Cincinnati and 6 wins against MWC Tourney teams. I see where the RPI is coming from though and Alford is a sneaky one. He scheduled a few road games where one team beat Miami and then STL and Cincy coupled with a few other Mid Major Conf leaders, which is where the high numbers are coming from plus the MWC itself. A good team, but you didn't catch me napping on my numbers.
UNLV 23-7 (10-5) #13 RPI. They've got enough quality MWC wins coupled with the Cal and Iowa State wins to be battling for a higher seed in the MWC tourney.
Colorado State 23-7 (10-5) #15 RPI. Not a whole lot here in reality. Yet another Home Court Heroe's team with wins over Boise,SDSU and UNLV essentially. Nothing at all in the Non Conf so I can see them getting punished in terms of seeding.
San Diego State 21-8 (9-6) #31 RPI. Yet another Home Court Heroe's team in the MWC pretty much like CSU,but they have the neutral court win over UCLA,which will keep them in good shape.
Boise State 20-9 (8-7) #43 RPI. Purely speculative for about the last week since they've had nothing but tournament teams on their schedule for the last week or so which continues at the MWC tourney. They finish with SDSU and more than likely will once again face SDSU in the Quarters. Win one and it's done.Wins already against Colorado State,UNLV and Creighton.
