Pac 10
Oregon 23-7 (12-5) #48 RPI. We were all laughing at the Pac 10 early on thinking this was yet again another 1 or 2 bid league and they came alive in the middle of the season, but the Ducks RPI is alarming and especially so concerning seeding. Just not a whole lot here with wins over UCLA,Arizona and UNLV granted two of them were on the road. Oregon needs more work to get a better seed.
UCLA 22-8 (12-5) #36 RPI. The Bruins are in pretty good shape despite the disgusting loss at Washington State. A sweep of Arizona plus the win against Missouri is nice. They still need to do work for a better seed.
California 20-10 (12-6) #49 RPI. They really blew their wad and flushed a share of the Conf title down the drain with the home loss to Stanford, but their overall resume became rock solid over the last month and change. A sweep of Oregon coupled with wins against Arizona,UCLA and Colorado equals see ya in the NCAA's.
Arizona 23-6 (11-6) #14 RPI. Once a top 5 team and now in 4th place alone in an average at best {albeit better than the SEC} Conference. Perhaps the Wildcats did get that bad karma after all since they haven't won a meaningful Pac 10 game since that Jan 3rd asterik win against Colorado where they really lost on a Chen 3 pointer. The saving Grace? Non Conf wins against San Diego State,Miami,Fla and Florida. I still say #5 seed at best.
Colorado 20-9 (10-7) #24 RPI. Lunardi had these guys hovering around the cut line, but with that RPI no way. A sweep of Oregon, wins over Cal,Arizona and Colorado State equals goodnight and see you in the NCAA's.
